Department Of Defense Awards Knowledge Fusion Grant to IDEATIONS, LLC and MindTel, LLC
The Department of Defense (DoD) has awarded
its Knowledge Fusion Tools Grant to Ideations, LLC and sister company MindTel,
LLC for development of an industrial design to integrate the multiple
technologies of its Never Never Land (NNL) Project. Ideations
LLC will design and custom build systems that enhance data and
information analysis.
The communications systems will also
increase the awareness of military personnel at all times, including
highly hazardous situations. The highly advanced system
will fuse awareness, data, and analysis for critical security
applications.
Advanced communications systems and data
analysis are especially important as various security agencies
work to improve communications. Ideations will develop several
core components of the finalized NNL project funded by the Knowledge
Fusion Grant. Ideations has developed similar systems for use
in national defense, rehabilitative sciences and telemedicine.
Those components include cyberized (the combination of electronic,
mechanical, and biological systems) workstations, interactive
floor panels and advanced visual and data systems.
The Knowledge Fusion prototypes will
be showcased in San Antonio, Texas at the annual Siggraph conference,
on July 22-26, 2002. Ideations will demonstrate its applications
as part of the "Emerging Technologies" Exhibit. Further information
on Siggraph is available at http://www.siggraph.org/s2002/flashhome.html.
